Body Engineer Michael: Bio

I really have always been fascinated with health and wellness. As a young high school athlete I won 3 state titles in Track and Field. I had a really good coach who showed me the importance of data. However, my fascination with human performance really peaked when I first read a book by Aubrey de Grey. His very controversial book is called “Ending Aging”. An AI programmer, by trade, decided to take on biology’s biggest unacknowledged question, how do we reverse aging? His approach is not to make the person live as long as possible, but to live a life without illness. If you look at the human body as a machine, this machine gets bad at disposing cellular waste products over time. This creates a very feeble look, much like a very rusted car who chassis is not able to hold its body up. His book convinced me that technology would one day revolutionize health as we know it. As a process engineer, I knew that I would not have the impact I wanted to help and inform people about the newer technologies out in the market today. So I became a personal trainer so I can firstly, help people feel and move better, but secondly talk to them about new technologies and how Fire and Ice Wellness LLC can help.

Body Engineer Tabitha: Bio

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and moved to Wisconsin with my husband and two children in the spring of 2016. I have loved the fitness industry for many years. I was a heavy set child and had a successful weight loss journey in my mid to late teens. Although I was able to achieve success in one aspect I struggled with chronic aches and pains. It wasn’t until I saw a lecture by a successful exercise physiologist that I found my real passion within the fitness industry, corrective exercise. Through the years this has evolved into a model I know as corrective functional fitness. This philosophy is rooted in incorporating compound, functional movements and incorporating corrective components to help clients move safely, consciously, and effectively. From precise verbal cueing to isolated corrective exercise my goal for every client is to move well and move well for may years to come.

What is Corrective Functional Fitness?

Exercise is one of the most potent medicines you can have in your arsenal of longevity, but sometimes our body isn’t moving the way it was designed to move. This can be caused by incorrect repetitive movement over weeks, months, or even years. It could also simply be a structural abnormality that is preventing normal movement. Often this is completely overlooked in an athlete’s everyday life because the body is so good at compensating. However, even the body has its limits, and these poor movements can lead to muscle aches, sore joints and even muscle atrophy. Our first goal is to assess how well you move. Once we have a baseline, we set goals. Each goal is customized to help you optimize your own physical improvements and operating at a level you desire. Whether that’s being able to play competitive hockey or wonder in the wilderness for hours hunting mushrooms we want you to be able to unlock your potential. We want you to transcend your fitness goals and unlock your personal wellness
